MALVERN have a five-point lead at the top of Midlands Two West, but director of rugby David Robins is refusing to get carried away.
The Spring Lane side visit Cheltenham North on Saturday and Robins is expecting a difficult confrontation.
He said: "A five-point lead gives us a cushion, but there is a long way to go before we seal promotion.
"We still have tricky away games at Walsall and Solihull and Saturday sees us at Cheltenham North. They are notoriously difficult to beat at home and play a hard, typical Gloucestershire physical game.
"Given that we are in pole position, every side we meet is going to up the ante to try and knock us down, so we have to maintain the attitude and determination shown at Hereford last Saturday right through to the final whistle of the last game."
Robins was also impressed with the manner of his side's 15-13 victory at title rivals Hereford last weekend.
He said: "Before the match I told the lads the team that wanted it most would win the game and they all stood up to be counted.
"Every single man out there in a Malvern shirt laid his body on the line time after time as we defended for the whole of the first-half.
"When we turned round only eight points down at the break there was a collective belief that we could win it and, despite Hereford's breakaway try, we ground our way back to take the spoils."
