ROB Allen slammed home a hat-trick for Stourport's Men Firsts as they came out on top in a seven-goal thriller in their National North clash with Barford Tigers.

Mandeep Johal fired the Tigers into a 13th-minute lead before Allen struck 10 minutes later.

The Stourport man then scored two goals in a minute to complete his treble before Ravinder Sandhu reduced the deficit. Phil Lashford restored the visiors' two-goal advantage in the 55th minute.

However, Jeroen Sibia's strike one minute later set up a tense finish.

The Badgers cruised their way to victory in the National Cup with victory at Sutton thanks to goals from P Christmas, Ben Corcoran, a brace from Josh Hopkins and Josh Martin.

Stourport under 18 girls won their National Knockout match at Barton 2-0, thanks to goals from Danni Turley and player-of-the-match Sarah Cavendish.

Their next Plate match will be at Cannock on Sunday, February 17.

All ladies' matches fell foul of the weather last weekend.

However, the ladies' section are celebrating their 30th anniversary this year and are appealing for as many former members to join them at the Civic Centre on Saturday, March 1.

The event was originally due to be held in the clubhouse, next to their pitches, however after it was destroyed in an arson attack in early December, a new venue was found.

The party will be an open invitation to members and ex-members alike, whom the current ladies committee are trying to contact.
