REPORTS suggest that approaches have been made to Worcestershire by rival county Warwickshire for Moeen Ali and Ed Barnard.
The pair are both out of contract at the end of the 2022 season and Warwickshire are also keen on Lancashire's Saqib Mahmood, according to The Cricketer.
The English Cricket Board (ECB) state that any club wanting to talk to a player must notify their current club first and it is understood that Worcestershire have been informed of Warwickshire's interest.
All three players have a number of clubs seeking their signature for the 2023 season but it is expected that Moeen will return to Warwickshire, the county where he began his career 17 years ago.
He has been with Worcestershire since 2007 and is heralded as one of the best to play for the Pears.
As for all-rounder Barnard, he came through the Worcestershire academy and broke into the senior side in 2015.
The ex England under-19 international turned down offers to leave back in 2018 but at 26, a new challenge could now prove attractive to him.
