ARCHDALES were pushed closer to a Midland Combination Division One relegation battle after a 2-1 home defeat to Newhall United.
On a boggy surface, Dales started better but were unable to create any clear chances.
Newhall took the lead while Dales' players argued over a quick free-kick awarded for handball just inside their half.
Both teams failed to string passes together in the second period but the hosts levelled.
Lee Seldon took a Luke Whittington through-ball down on his chest and fired past the keeper.
But Dales then fell behind to a great finish from 25 yards following a short free-kick.
Dales threw Jason Beck on up-front to try and salvage a point but were unable to create any opportunities.
