NON-LEAGUE clubs around the area will have been interested to hear the news that Bromsgrove Sporting and Nathan Hayward have parted ways following the conclusion of the 2021/22 campaign.
Hayward, 30, was voted player of the season by the Sporting supporters at the end of season awards and also won the golden boot with 16 in all competitions.
The former Worcester City and Stourbridge midfielder is renowned in the county as being one of, if not the, best non-league player in Worcestershire.
He was included in the 'Worcester News' Team of the Season' and will be a huge loss to Sporting.
Hayward has hinted that a move away after four seasons was on the cards last week, tweeting: "I know what the crack is now, football is about opinions but I'll do what’s best for me at the end of the day.
"What I’ve done for the club, no one can tell me otherwise."
We would like to thank Nathan for all his hard work over the past few years. He has been an amazing player for Sporting and will be truly missed. Good luck for the future 💚❤️ pic.twitter.com/BxievruWBC
