A FOURTH straight win without conceding a goal strengthened Evesham's prospects of promotion.
Strikers Mark Owen and Gary Hay both found the net as they combined superbly to cause Town problems all afternoon.
The Robins overcame a shaky start when Danny Scheppel and Steve Hands went close to scoring early on while Evesham's woodwork was struck twice with Steve Palmer unlucky to see his 25-yarder hit the crossbar.
Scheppel then wasted a glorious opening after Owen and Hay had combined but the trio hit it off a minute before the break when Hay chased Scheppel's pass and his square pass was easily netted by top scorer Owen.
The visitors controlled the second period with relative ease and Nathan Vaughan was rarely troubled although it took until the 67th minute for United to wrap up a season's double. Hay was alert and cool as he latched on to a stray back pass to slide the ball past Daniel Wo-odhall in the Town goal.
The scorer looked to have decent claims for a penalty before being replaced by James Knott on an afternoon when the strike duo's display could hold the key to United's championship chances.
