ELGAR Technology College have recently rec-eived accreditation of the Sportsmark award.

This is awarded in recognition of the two hours of high quality PE and sport for all students per week that the school offers.

They are successfully working in partnership with our family of primary schools through the PESSCL strategy to increase opportunity, participation and raise attainment for all ages.

Clubs links include visits by external coaches in rugby, hockey, football, basketball and judo. The annual primary school netball festival took place on Wednesday.

The schools district cross country event took place the previous week at the Royal Grammar School The Grange. It was a long cross country route and Elgar Technology College student Jamie Oliver-Drew finished fifth in the girls inter (years 10 and 11) competition and she will now represent the district at the county championships in Hereford tomorrow.

Pupils representing all the city schools from the state and independent sectors plus Chantry and Droitwich High took part.
