FORMER Worcestershire target Ashley Noffke has joined LV County Championship Division Two rivals Middlesex for the start of the new season.
The Australian all-rounder had turned down a move to New Road earlier this month and has now signed a two-month deal with the Lord's side.
The former Gloucestershire man will join up with the London-based county until Indian spinner Murali Kartik returns as the club's overseas player.
Meanwhile, former Worcestershire opener Phil Weston has retired from cricket.
The 34-year-old is quit the first class game to concentrate on a new career in finance. Weston had only joined Derbyshire at the start of last season after moving from Gloucestershire.
