DARRYL Knights and Matthew Bailey are set to make their Kidderminster Harriers debuts on Saturday after joining the club on loan.
Knights, a 19-year-old striker or midfielder came in on transfer deadline from League One outfit Yeovil Town as boss Mark Yates gets his squad ready to entertain Northwich Victoria in Blue Square Premier.
Midfielder Bailey joins on loan from Championship side Wolverhampton Wanderers on an initial month loan deal.
However, the Aggborough outfit will be without skipper Stuart Whitehead after the club agreed to cancel his contract and the 31-year-old de-fender then returned to the New Bucks Head after signing an 18-month deal with AFC Telford United in Blue Square North.
Yates will be hoping for a positive respone from his players following last Saturday's shock 1-0 defeat at struggling Droylsden.
And the Harriers chief was not only fuming about the result but the manner of the performance as well.
"The Droylsden defeat still hurts because it was a poor performance and a disappointing result," said Yates.
"Some of the players have to ask themselves whether they still want to be part of this club because that performance wasn't good enough.
"We prepare professionally for every game and do our best to make sure the team is ready.
"We want a massive response from the players, they have let themselves and the club down."
Now Harriers will be aiming to take their frustrations out on Northwich in a re-arranged league fixture.
They also face the prospect of trying to win over disgruntled fans, who have become disillusioned after watching the season hit the rocks in recent weeks with some disappointing results and performances.
