SARACENS suffered their biggest defeat of the season, going down 52-25 to Bournville in the West Midlands League.
The Worcester side suffered a second loss in a row to seriously dent their chances of finishing runners-up.
The opening exchanges were even with each side capitalising on shooting opportunities until the score reached 3-3.
Saracens then went through a nightmare few minutes as Bournville scored seven goals without reply to go 15-9 ahead at the break.
Bournville stretched their lead by a further three goals at the start of the second quarter and were content to frustrate Saracens.
The lead was stretched to 29-17 by half-time with their accurate shooting proving crucial.
The third quarter was a disaster for Saracens who only managed three goals.
Bournville extended the advantage to 43-20 and, despite a close fourth quarter, saw the game out.
