MALVERN Town again managed to throw away a two-goal lead as they lost 3-2 at home to Bromyard Town in the first round of the Worcester Infirmary Cup.
The hosts started brightly and took the lead in the 15th minute when the ball fell kindly to Tom Lacey and he chipped the keeper from the edge of the box.
Malvern, under new manager Joe Rawle, had the majority of the possession in the first-half but they did not increase their lead until five minutes into the second period when Lacey set up Ed Lyons to score.
Bromyard then hit back with three goals in seven minutes as Malvern went to sleep.
Craig Malin fired home after 53 minutes and Alex Zagge headed home two minutes later before Tony Maclean put the visitors ahead on the hour.
Bromyard saw out the final half-hour with ease as Malvern failed to create any opportunities.
