WORCESTER Men's firsts came away from Coventry & North Warwick in defeat after going down 5-2 in the Body Kraft Midlands Premier League.

The visitors, who narrowly lost to league leaders Harborne last week, started well and attacked with but they were unable to penetrate the Coventry defence.

Having absorbed all the Worcester pressure, Coventry hit two goals on the counter.

Pete Gibbins pulled a goal back for the visitors when Chris Adams squared the ball to him to net.

The hosts restored their two-goal advantage after the break as Coventry began to take a stranglehold on the game.

It was soon 4-2 as Alex Kotlarzewski scored from a well worked penalty corner and Coventry netted again before the final whistle.

The seconds had to battle hard for their 2-0 win over Stratford in the BodyKraft West Midlands Premier.

Worcester took an early lead through James Brown flicking on with close work around his feet.

The second-half was equally tense until a decisive run and superb strike from the edge of the D' by Chris Miles took it beyond Stratford's reach.

The fourths were held to a 2-2 home draw by Leek.

Worcester started well and were unlucky not to take an early lead, however, they did break the deadlock from a well worked Paul Sharratt short corner, but Leek levelled on the stroke of half-time.

Scott Seckham restored the Worcester lead after the break when he converted Ben Mul-lett's cross. But with four minutes remaining, the Staffordshire side once again regained parity.

The fifths took an early 2-0 lead in their 4-2 victory over Cannock, with Simon Tinley and Tim Young on target.

Cannock pulled one back before Young grabbed his second of the match but the visitors again hit back. However, Joe Edge sealed the win.

The sixths crashed to three first-half goals at Harborne fifths.

First-half goals from Matthew Ramsey and Jake Glass put the Potters in control of their match with Bourneville.

Ramsey added his second after the break when he deflected home a short corner before Ben Cook made it 4-0.

Despite being the stronger side this week, the Pippins should have won their game against Drotiwich. However they were unable to convert their chances and were forced to settle for a goalless draw.
