WORCESTER Warriors have confirmed the signing of Sale Sharks duo Cameron Nield and Curtis Langdon ahead of the 2021/22 season.
Having both played under Diamond during their time at the AJ Bell Stadium, the now Worcester boss has brought both of them to Sixways.
Langdon, who earned his first caps for England last summer, has made 89 appearances for Sharks since he joined the club’s academy from London Irish in August 2016 and has gone onto score 14 tries in all.
The made his England debut against the USA at Twickenham in July 2021, and he has carried that momentum into this campaign, making 18 appearances, and scoring six tries, including five in the Gallagher Premiership.
Hooker-turned-flanker Nield has been at the club since 2013, when he joined the Sharks Academy after leaving Manchester Grammar School.
He made his first team debut the following year and he has gone on to make more than 130 appearances for the club, scoring six tries.
Both players played key roles as Sharks sealed a third-place finish in the 2020/21 Premiership season.
“Curtis has developed into top Premiership player. He is an excellent, mobile and aggressive hooker with very good set piece skills and a good working knowledge of the Premiership,” said Diamond.
“He comes from a tough background and will be an excellent addition to the Warriors squad.
“I’m delighted that Cam has also agreed to join me here.
“He is an exceptional player in both attack and defence. He’s a tough and uncompromising Premiership animal.”
