FORMER Worcester school pupil Luke Narraway will start at number eight for England against Wales in the Six Nations at Twickenham on Saturday.
Having originally been named in the England Saxons squad, Narraway, who went to the city's King's School, was drafted into the full England squad to cover for injuries to back-row forwards including Nick Easter and Dan Ward-Smith.
However, the 24-year-old Gloucester player's recent impressive form has convinced England head coach Brian Ashton to hand him a place in the starting XV.
The former England Under 21 international, the son of St John's butcher and former Worcester forward Ian, spent eight years at Sixways before being snapped up by Gloucester in 2002.
Last summer he was in Canada with the England Saxons squad playing in the Churchill Cup.
