NEWSMEN made it three wins in a row in Division Two of the Worcester and District Men's Skittles League with a 24-pin victory away against the Settlers on the Railway Club.

Despite losing the first two legs, the Newsmen were three pins ahead by the fourth leg.

Settlers, who themselves were unbeaten in the previous four games, finished with an 83 leg to leave Newsmen requiring 80 to win.

The visitors finished with 104 with anchorman N Silvester scoring 54 and in doing so registering the highest Division Two away score this season.
