WORCESTER Wolves head coach Skouson Harker insists his team will bounce back after losing 95-77 at Plymouth Raiders in the British Basketball League Championship.

Anthony Paez top-scored with 22 points but it was not enough to avoid defeat ahead of this Saturday's BBL Trophy semi-final against Guildford Heat in Sheffield.

Harker said: "It certainly was a bad day at the office and we all struggled to get into the game.

"That is now gone and we will focus on our big game on Saturday in the semi-final.

"We have not got time to dwell on the past, but we will respond to it on the court."

Wolves beat Birmingham Panthers 114-98 in the BBL Trophy at the weekend and in the opening quarter against Plymouth it appeared that their minds were still on that success as the Raiders raced into a 26-16 lead, Wolves' lowest opening quarter score of the season.

Wolves started to build a score in the second quarter with Paez finding gaps in the Raiders' defence to cut the half-time deficit to 47-36.

But the Raiders pulled further clear in the second-half and apart from some long-range attempts from Paez, the Wolves response drifted away.
