OLDBURY Park Tigers Whites Under 10s reached the Talbot Page-Jones Memorial Shield semi-finals with a 1-0 win over Newtown Sports Colts.
The Mercian Festival Junior League's two top teams gave 100 per cent from the off but Tigers closed down Colts quickly and moved the ball well.
Both teams made changes at half-time but they could not break the deadlock.
Tigers' keeper, man-of-the-match Jackson Huxley, pulled off two fantastic saves to prevent Colts taking the lead.
In response, the hosts played fast-flowing football, often switching the play, but the game went into extra-time.
In the final two minutes, a move involving Kristian Webb and Luke Tompkins was finished off by Alex Hewitt.
UNDER 16s: Suffolk Rangers beat Worcester Raiders 9-1 in the Reg Box Cup second round.
Almost from kick-off, Jake Ford scored for Rangers and Joe Corbett rounded the keeper to add the second.
Although conditions were poor, Suffolk kept going with Ford finishing off Corbett's pass and then Jamie Insall firing in from 25 yards.
The impressive Bradley Birch added a fifth goal and only excellent keeping from Tom Patey prevented more goals.
In the second period, Martin Newman scored an excellent sixth goal and Insall netted his second.
Raiders were unlucky to concede an eighth when Corbett's drive rebounded from the post and in off a defender.
Mark Tucker grabbed the consolation from a scramble before Newman bagged a deflected ninth goal.
UNDER 14s: Newtown Sports Juniors Girls lost 2-1 on penalties to Cookley after drawing 2-2 following extra-time in the Festival Housing Shield.
A hard-fought match was settled by Cookley when Newtown failed to equalise with the last of their five penalties.
Good saves by both keepers kept the penalty tally down as all the spot-kicks were on target.
Cookley took the lead during open play but Newtown equalised through Davies before the interval.
Despite good chances, Newtown did not take the lead until later in the second-half when McBain scored after good work from Matthew-Jones, Shuker and Davies.
However, Cookley scrambled a late leveller and then took the penalty shoot-out to make the semi-finals.
