WITH interviews to find a permanent successor to Paul Molloy completed, Saturday's derby clash with Stourport Swifts could be the last game in charge at the Langland Stadium for Malvern Town's joint caretaker managers (3pm).

Molloy stepped down as boss of the British Gas Business Division One Midlands club just after Christmas with Joe Rawle and Les Jones taking up the reins.

Although they have been in charge for just two games, the duo are determined to bow out with a win.

"It would be nice to finish with a victory," Jones smiled.

"But it is not just for us. Stourport are a team near us in the league and we have to be looking at picking up points against clubs like that.

"I know Stourport will start as favourites as they are higher up the table, but we have to be confident."

Town are set to welcome back Bryan Craven from suspension but they have lost Joel Skyers after he fractured his cheekbone in the 4-0 defeat at Chasetown last Saturday.

Swifts boss Neil Hunt will have a trio of new faces in his squad with the capture of Simon Fitter, released by Evesham United this week, Danny Upton, back from Bromsgrove, and Lee Tompkins from Hunt's former club Pershore.

Stourport have been impressing in recent weeks although they have yet to pick up a win in the last four games.

Narrow one-goal defeats to promotion chasers Leamington, Chasetown and Sutton Coldfield Town, as well as a 1-1 draw at Willenhall, has left Hunt feeling positive.

Hunt said: "You can see from our last few games that we are not a million miles away.

"It is just a shame that we didn't play teams that we are around in the league because then we might have had a few wins on the board.

"But now we have a chance to do that. If we prepare properly like we did against the likes of Leamington, Chasetown and Sutton Coldfield then I'm sure that we will be OK."
