BROMSGROVE Rovers head to Hemel Hempstead Town on Saturday looking to stretch their unbeaten British Gas Business Premier Division run to six games (3pm).
Caretaker boss Duane Darby has instilled an air of confidence since taking temporary charge of Rovers but if his side are to stretch their unbeaten run, they must do it without several key players.
Striker Jozef Jakab has returned home to Hungary for a week, while midfielder Sam Allsop is a major fitness doubt after picking up a shoulder injury in Tuesday's 4-2 extra-time Errea Cup fourth round defeat to Banbury United.
There is also a doubt over striker Richard Ball as he is struggling with a knee injury.
But Darby has snapped up former Worcester City midfielder Chris Cornes from AFC Telford in time for Saturday.
He said: "Apart from Jozef, Sam and Richard, we are also carrying a few minor knocks but I'm hopeful over those."
Darby is still several weeks away from full fitness with an Achilles problem but the powerful striker has been impressed by his charges since he toook over from Rod Brown.
"The attitude and commitment has been first-class," he said. "They have got a never-say-die attitude now which I believe wasn't there before.
"If we are losing, they still believe that they can get something out of the game."
Rovers will be looking to avenge a 3-0 September home defeat to the Tudors but, with Steve Bateman's side gunning for promotion, it won't be easy for Bromsgrove.
