WARRIORS delivered a good professional performance against Bucuresti and that was what we expected before the game.
We took the right options at the right times and were rewarded with plenty of tries.
We put them away in a professional manner, which was what we had to do. The only reason why the scores were close out in Romania was because of the conditions.
Although the conditions were bad at Sixways on Saturday, you cannot compare them to those in Romania when we played out there.
In the back row, James Collins and Tom Wood worked really hard and did well - they are coming together well.
Both of them train really hard and have got good attitudes, which is a pre-requisite in the back row. I'm sure JC is after my shirt and that is what he has got to have ambitions for.
Also, JC and Uche Oduoza have been called up to the England Sevens squad which is fantastic for them and will do their game a lot of good. It will also be good for their self-esteem.
Miles Benjamin signed a new contract with us this week and he is another one of the club's youngsters to have taken his chance with both hands. We need players like him for the future.
Miles has been working closely with Rico Gear under the mentoring scheme, which has done him the world of good. Having good players around you as a youngster helps you develop your game and learn new things. We are very lucky that all of the young players at Worcester all want to learn and are very keen.
Speaking of Rico, his try against Bucuresti was a great effort and hopefully he can produce something like that again when we play Bristol on Saturday.
By beating Bucuresti, we finished our European Challenge Cup pool games with a 100 per cent record, which was our target. Now we have got a home quarter-final and - if we get there - a home semi-final, which makes this by far the easiest route into the Heineken Cup.
I'm not saying it is easy, but it is a lot easier than qualifying through the hard slog of the league.
Saturday's Guinness Premiership game with Bristol will see John Brain coming back to Sixways, which adds an extra bit of spice to the fixture and I am looking forward to seeing him.
I had a great relationship with John during his time at Worcester and I still consider him a good friend. I will always wish him well, but hopefully not too well this weekend!
Hopefully we can spoil his party and claim our first league win of the season.
We desperately need to win the game and we will all have to be very committed to the cause. I think we have to respect Bristol as they will be hugely motivated and will be hard to play against.
Hopefully this will be the week for us to pick up the first win - we are playing much better now and our defence has also improved greatly.
It will be a real battle and the Sixways fans have a big part to play - if they can create a good atmosphere and make life as difficult as possible for the Bristol players, that will be a big help to us.
