EVESHAM'S Simon Andrews has retained his place in the Jentin Racing team for the forthcoming 2008 British Superbike season.
Jentin, after teaming up with Lloyds British Testing Ltd mid-way through the 2007 season, are now to be known as Jentin Racing/Lloyds British.
The Gloucester-based team are to run 23-year-old Andrews on two 08 Jentin Yamaha R1s in the British Championship and have high hopes for success this year.
Bernie Toleman, Jentin Racing/Lloyds British team manager said: "We secured several top ten finishes in 2007 and with two new bikes currently being built we will be looking to further the teams success in the new 2008 season.
"I am delighted that Simon has agreed to remain with the team for 2008 and I am lookingforward to working with him once again.
"On-going team/rider continuity is even more important this year with the change of tyre manufacturer and also the changes to engine specification.
"The team ran very successfully in 04 on Pirelli tyres and I have every confidence we can adjust quickly to the new tyres and secure some top results.
Andrews said: "I am really pleased to be riding for Jentin Racing/Lloyds British again this year.
"The new tyre rule will be good for the championship, as it will put all teams on more of a level playing field.
"Our new R1 looks fantastic and I can't wait to get on board and put it through its paces.

We are looking forward to the new season and anticipate that with the new bikes and the skills of rider Simon Andrews we have everything in place to become a major player."
Along with several other teams, Andrews will take part in the Pirelli/BSB test at Guadix in early March prior to the Snetterton test over Easter in preparation for the new season that kicks off at Brands Hatch on April 6.
