BERKHAMSTED Town may be rock-bottom of the British Gas Business Division One Midlands table but title-chasing Evesham United are going to treat them as if they were heading the pack.
That is a worrying thought for the visitors to St George's Lane tonight (7.45), considering Paul West's men struck five without reply on the basement boys in their own backyard.
"We have to respect everyone in this league so we will prepare for Berkhamsted as if they were leaders Leamington," West said. "We can't just turn up and expect to get a result but what I am expecting is a good performance.
"I know that we put five on them at their place but we have to make sure that we win the game, put pressure on the teams around us and let the goals take care of themselves.
"So, from our point of view, we will be positive, confident and make sure that we get the right result."
Should results go their way tonight with Leamington failing to beat Cinderford Town at home, Evesham could find themselves at the top of the table for the first time this term.
Berkhamsted have only picked up two points on the road this term so West's men are expected to win comfortably.
The Robins' chief is likely to allow defender Steve Hands extra time to recover from a knee injury with ex-Worcester City player Danny Hodnett stepping into the void.
Midfielder Paul Bonar and striker Gary Hay are nearly up to full match fitness, while West has released midfielder Simon Fitter.
Meanwhile, Bromsgrove Rovers are in Errea Cup action when they host Banbury United in the fourth round tonight (7.45).
Caretaker boss Duane Darby has guided the Victoria Ground club to a five-game unbeaten run with their last defeat a home 2-0 reverse to Banbury just before Christmas.
Westfields travel to Studley in the Midland Alliance tonight, while Bromyard Town head to Pegasus Juniors in the Herefordshire FA Senior Floodlit Cup first round (7.45).
