HEREFORD United must not let their FA Cup heroics distract them from a crucial promotion clash at Chesterfield tomorrow night (7.45), according to boss Graham Turner.
The Bulls set up a fourth round tie against Cardiff City at Edgar Street on Sunday with a 1-0 victory against Tranmere Rovers last Wednesday.
Simon Johnson's mazy dribble and 20-yard finish after 71 minutes was enough to see United claim their third League One scalp in the competition following wins against Hartlepool United and Leeds United.
Their eagerly-anticipated all-ticket clash with the Bluebirds, who are pushing for place in the Champi-onship play-off places, will mark Hereford's first appearance in the last 32 for 16 years.
But Turner's men have the small matter of a Sky Sports-televised ma-tch at Saltergate to negotiate first as they attempt to maintain their own challenge for promotion.
He knows the Spireites must be the only thing in the mind of his players come kick-off time.
"We have got to put the FA Cup behind us," he said. "We have enjoyed the victory over Tranmere and are looking forward to Cardiff but we must make sure we are focused on Chesterfield.
"It's a big game and it's in front of the Sky cameras. I think it always adds a little bit of spice for the players when the cameras are there.
"They can make themselves known with a good performance or scoring a spectacular goal."
All the players involved in the Tranmere triumph were spared training until Saturday but have been put through their paces over the weekend in preparation for the trip to Derbyshire.
No fresh injuries were sustained against the Prenton Park outfit but the likes of midfielders Clint Easton (calf), Luke Webb (ankle) and striker Steve Guinan (calf) remain doubtful.
Hereford are looking to extend their unbeaten run in the league to five games and build on the 3-1 victory over Shrewsbury in their last league outing.
Chesterfield, however, have not won in three games and were on the wrong end of a 4-3 scoreline against Rochdale last Wednesday.
Spireites boss Lee Richardson, whose side have won just four times at home in the league this season, said: "With 20 games to go, we are still in a good position but any more performances like that and we won't be doing anything this season."
