WORCESTER Wolves have signed six-feet nine-inch centre Ivan Brosko, a member of the Slovakian national team in 1997, who has recently played three seasons in Austria and one in Switzerland.
The English-speaking 30-year-old began this season in Spain but has been seeking a change of club.
Wolves' coach Skouson Harker said: "Ivan is very well schooled. He rebounds, defends and scores when he is given the shot. He is exactly what we need and he will fit in nicely with Shaun Durant and myself in the front-court.
"He is very experienced and he will add a dimension that we have not had since Dave Mallon was released. Ivan's hustle and presence will be a big boost for our club as we move up the British Basketball League table."
Wolves' general manager Susie Hart and Harker have been working around the clock in an attempt to have Brosko cleared to play in tonight's Trophy match with Sheffield Sharks at the Uni-versity of Worcester (7pm).
Worcester's director of basketball Mick Donovan said: "The efforts made by Susie and Skouson have been incredible and when Ivan takes to the floor tonight it will be the end of one of the finest paper chases I have seen."
The game with Sheffield is the biggest test Wolves have faced in their short BBL history. A win would put them into the Trophy semi-finals.
