MARK Yates is facing a make-or-br-eak week as he hopes to strengthen his Kidderminster Harriers squad before the close of the January transfer window.
Aggborough chairman Barry Norgrove admits should they lose today against Farsley Celtic and then fall to Weymouth in their FA Trophy replay on Tuesday night, then the likelihood of any new faces arriving this month is all but out of the question. In fact it would be more likely that players will be leaving.
"There is no point throwing money at the squad that is just going to finish 10th," said Norgrove.
"What we will have to look to do is maybe get a few off the books and then try and get Mark as much money as we can for the summer.
"On the other hand, if we win our next two games then we are still in with a shout of the play-offs and we will be getting another £5,000 from the Trophy.
"If that happens we will look to try and strengthen the squad before the window closes."
Norgrove says that the club's board will again meet before the end of the month to discuss whether they are in a position to bring in new faces or get a couple of players off the books.
Whatever happens over the next seven days at Aggborough, the final two weeks of the transfer window is going to be very interesting for all concerned at Kidderminster.
