Worcester Raiders have signed former Liverpool trainee Okera Simmonds, with the attacker set to feature in tomorrow's Worcestershire Senior Cup quarter-final tie against Kidderminster Harriers at Sixways (kick-off 7.45pm).
Simmonds, 21, who represented England Under-16s, spent time training with the Sheffield Wednesday first team last year following stints with Blackburn Rovers and Accrington Stanley.
Possessing blistering pace, Simmonds caused havoc for the Raiders defence when he played up front for Littleton in last month's Hellenic League Division One clash at Sixways.
It was that display under the Sixways lights which prompted Raiders chiefs to move swiftly for the forward, whose brother is currently on the books of Birmingham City.
"I'm delighted to have acquired the services of Okera and I can't wait to see him in action for us," said Worcester Raiders Joint Manager Mark Owen.
"He's such a talented player, who will fit into the group nicely as we look to keep our run of form in the league going."
