A BRACE for Nunnery Wood Panthers' league debutant Jaber Ahmed helped them to a fine 4-3 comeback win at Worcester Youth Under 11s in the Stourport League.
Two goals down against Youth early in the first-half, Panthers feared the worst in the Division One clash.
But they continued with their passing game and were rewarded five minutes before the break when Callum McDonough fired home.
Panthers produced a much better second-half display, storming into a 4-2 lead with Ahmed's double and a cool left-footed strike from Harry Clark.
There was, however, time for a touch of nerve jangling as Youth made it 4-3.
UNDER 13s: Oldbury Park Tigers saw off third-placed Droitwich Dragons in Division One with a 2-1 victory on a heavy pitch.
In windy conditions, both teams tried to pass the ball on the floor which made for an excellent game.
Keeper Ross Williams and his defence of Andrew Woodyatt, Ryan Gwilliam, Ryan Griffin and Steve Gourley repelled Dragons in the first-half.
David Walker and Max Price were a threat on the break for Tigers but their midfield came more into the game as an attacking force in the second period.
Jordan Murton, James Marsh, Jack Shemwell and Tom Baker all pushed forward, while James Day and Johnny Allen moved up-front to hold the ball up.
But Dragons took the lead when a clearance fell to Charlie Hooman and he fired a low shot home from the edge of the area.
Tigers searched for the leveller which arrived with 10 minutes left when man-of-the-match Allen headed home Murton's cross following a Marsh pass.
Three minutes from time, Shemwell hit a low shot into the net from the edge of the box to score the winner before Day was denied in a one-on-one.
Worcester Colts won 4-2 at Nunnery Wood Jaguars in a mid-table clash.
Jaguars showed promise early on but began to be out-classed despite working hard and Colts cut through the middle on several occasions.
Both goalkeepers impressed with good saves but in-form Colts went in to the interval two goals up through goals from corners.
Half-time sub Ryan Kendrick made an immediate impact, pulling a goal back after following up a rebound.
Chris Hallam drove Jaguars forward from midfield but Colts quickly regained their two-goal advantage with a speculative strike.
The hosts regrouped and played good football with Hallam scoring a second goal after a good individual right-wing effort. But Colts bagged another goal to ensure a deserved three points.
UNDER 14s: Division Two leaders Northside Colts made hard work of lowly Mostyn Rangers, producing their worst display of the season in a 1-0 win.
Determined Rangers kept Colts to limited first-half chances in difficult, windy conditions.
Colts eventually scored their goal in the second period when Robert Askew's mazy run and pass fed Will Hardiman who drew the keeper before finding the corner of the net.
Ollie Butler, Greg Ritchie and Ryan Carter also went close to scoring for the hosts.
Mostyn defended stubbornly but could only test keeper Ollie Whittaker with long-range shots at the other end.
