EVESHAM's very own Alex Doherty celebrated success on the world stage earlier this month.
Doherty, 38, competed in the age-group World Duathlon Championship for Great Britain on Sunday 7th November in Aviles, Spain.
Alex completed the standard distance duathlon - 10km run, 40km bike and a final 5km run - in first place having recovered from being in fifth after the first run, to then dominate thereafter and cross the line a minute ahead of the chasing pack.
This win follows British and National duathlon gold medals achieved earlier in the year, and is his second world title overall.
