STOURPORT Swifts plan to put the bad memories of defeat at Sutton Coldfield Town behind them and concentrate on three points against Dunstable on Saturday (3pm).

Swifts were beaten 2-1 at Coles Lane on Monday, after taking the lead, and had keeper Chris Jay sent off in the closing stages for arguing.

The night was soured even further when they discovered both their dressing room and the referee's room had been ransacked during the match.

Several sets of car keys were stolen, including keeper Jay's, while wallets were also taken.

Manager Neil Hunt said: "It's really disgraceful for that level of football. It's been reported to the police but what can the police do? It's just disgusting."

In the match, Sutton's Nathan Moran scored twice after Nathan Jukes gave Swifts the lead from the penalty spot.

Hunt said: "We played very well until half-time and should have gone in 2-0 up but we didn't perform in the second-half and looked tired."

Hunt takes his side to Dunstable looking to see if matches against some of the better sides in British Gas Business Division One Midlands have improved his players.

Three of their last four games have been against promotion-chasing sides but the trip to Dunstable is followed by matches against Woodford United and Hunt's old club, local rivals Malvern Town.

Hunt said: "It will be good to play teams in the middle of the table because, in recent games, we have played Chasetown, Leamington and Sutton Coldfield.

"We have lost by the odd goal against all three but it would be nice to play someone around us and see if we can get three points."

Defender Steve Frost (hip) and midfielder Richard Tomkins should both be fit to face Dunstable and Hunt is also hoping to have at least one new face in the squad.
