MALVERN Town aim to play their first match since New Year's Day when they travel to FA Cup heroes Chasetown on Saturday (3pm).
The Langland Stadium side had precious few fixtures in the diary at the start of January as it was regardless of the poor weather.
Following a 2-2 draw at Cinderford Town on January 1, in which Malvern led 2-0, the Langland Stadium side were not due to play in British Gas Business Division One Midlands until Tuesday this week.
However, that game against mid-table Leighton Town was postponed because of a waterlogged pitch.
Malvern also had their Worcester Infirmary Cup match against Bromyard Town abandoned after 60 minutes because of a waterlogged pitch on Tuesday, January 8.
So they head to Chasetown on Saturday hoping for better luck with the weather and an upturn in results as Malvern have not won a game since December 1 when they triumphed 1-0 at Rothwell Town.
The team remains under the guidance of caretaker duo Joe Rawle and reserve team coach Les Jones as chairman Paul Pallett searches for a new manager to permanently succeed Paul Molloy.
Chasetown are one of the league's form teams, having gone unbeaten in their last five games as well as reaching the FA Cup third round before losing to Cardiff City.
That run means the Staffordshire club have played seven fewer games than Malvern and they have five games in hand on top-of-the-table Leamington.
