STOURPORT Women's Firsts hit back from a goal down to beat Redditch 4-1 in a hockey friendly.
They continued their unbeaten run into Saturday's friendly at Lansdowne before their Midlands B' Division campaign resumes.
In chilly conditions at home to higher-ranked Redditch, Stourport conceded an opener late in the first-half.
Following a stern half-time team-talk, Stourport came out with a greater will to win and a higher work-rate which produced three goals in the opening 10 minutes.
Fran Moss converted a short corner and Fran Baron hit home a cross from player-of-the-match Melissa Kennedy who then fired in the third goal.
Stourport continued to apply pressure, winning several short corners, and they were unlucky not to score.
Kennedy eventually added the fourth after good work from Heidi Devey and Liz Cooke.
Stourport Seconds thrashed a young Worcester Seconds side 9-3 in a friendly.
Captain Shelley Tromans, Kate Bailey, Jodi Vincent and Alex Totney put Stourport 4-2 ahead at half-time, despite a bright start from the visitors.
Worcester continued to work hard for each other in the second period but strong Stourport finished ruthlessly.
Tromans and Vincent completed their braces, while Bailey rounded off her hat-trick and Kerry Walker added the other goal.
Stourport Thirds triumphed 3-0 at Redditch Seconds with goals from player-of-the-match Claire Dodd (two) and Gemma Brookes.
Dodd distributed well from central midfield and netted twice although Brookes opened the scoring on 15 minutes.
The fourths defeated their Worcester counterparts 5-2 with Rosie Connolly (two), Hannah Corcoran, Caroline Wilson and Teri Baron scoring.
Youngster Jade Marshall-Walker turned in another good performance.
Stourport Badgers won 3-1 at Walsall with Josh Hopkins providing the assists for goals from Ellie Wilkinson, Ben Corcoran and Matt Ella.
