WORCESTER City could still lose their abandoned match against Nuneaton Borough.
Saturday's Blue Square North fixture between the sides was called off following a double floodlight failure, with Nuneaton leading 2-0.
The Football Conference will now make a ruling on the bizarre episode at a meeting a week on Wednesday but could allow the result to stand.
This would give Nuneaton three points and their third victory over Worcester this season.
Football Conference general manager Dennis Strudwick said: "Once I get the referee's report in I will look at it and take it to the board meeting next week.
"The options are for the game to be replayed or the result to stand.
"The guidelines we will take into consideration will be the score at the time of the abandonment and the time left, and then we will make our decision."
City would no doubt hotly contest any verdict to award Nuneaton the points but chairman Dave Boddy is confident of replaying the fixture.
He said: "It will be discussed by the league's board of directors at their meeting next week.
"It's at the discretion of the management committee so it will be decided then.
"It's my expectation that the game will be replayed."
Boddy also believes that City could have got back into the game following an improved second-half performance.
The chairman said: "If you look at the Gloucester City game on Saturday, they scored four goals in five minutes to win 5-2 at Corby Town."
Darkness had descended on Borough's Liberty Way gr-ound after 80 minutes of the match and the floodlights went off again just two minutes after the teams had restarted 26 minutes later.
Referee Terry Simmons consulted both City manager Richard Dryden and his Nun-eaton counterpart Kevin Wilkin and opted to abandon the contest.
A rugby match between Nuneaton and Cornish side Laun-ceston, scheduled to take place on the same pitch immediately after the conclusion of the Blue Square fixture, was also abandoned.
Meanwhile, City will be without Craig Wilding for Saturday's Blue Square North mat-ch against Workington at St George's Lane through suspension.
The striker, top-scorer with seven goals this season, is set to serve a one-match ban after picking up his fifth yellow card of the campaign in the 2-1 victory against Hinckley.
Worcester reserves' Central Conference Cup game against Kidderminster Harriers, scheduled for Wednesday night at St George's Lane, has been postponed due to Harriers' FA Trophy replay against Weymouth tomorrow night.
