RUSSELL Penn is quite happy for Kidderminster Harriers to be tested in the FA Trophy - if it means reaching another Wembley final.
Harriers face fellow Blue Square Premier side Weymouth at Aggborough tonight in a second round replay (7.45) following Saturday's 0-0 draw on the south coast.
Victory would set up a third round trip to Ebbsfleet United, another team chasing promotion to the Football League, on Saturday, February 2.
If Harriers progress tonight, that trip would be their third of the competition in as many rounds following the first round triumph at Guiseley - a match which required two journeys after the first game was rained off.
Penn, a member of the side that lost 3-2 to Stevenage Borough in last season's Wembley showpiece, said: "You don't get to the final easily.
"I think we made it hard for ourselves last year with replays to get to the final. You have got to beat the best to reach the final."
Harriers enjoyed the better chances at a soggy Wessex Stadium on Saturday in a game that only got the go-ahead following a pitch inspection.
However, the visitors were thwarted on several occasions by keeper Jason Matthews who blocked from Iyseden Christie and James Constable.
Penn also had an effort deflected wide as Mark Yates' side pushed for victory.
"We were a bit disappointed but we probably would have taken a draw before the game because the pitch was quite bad and they defended well," 22-year-old Penn said.
"We are quite glad we have got them back at our place. They sat back at home but hopefully they will come at us and it will be a good game."
Yates, who has another clean bill of health for the visit of the Terras, may keep faith with captain Stuart Whitehead after handing the skipper his first start in five games in place of Gavin Hurren at centre-half.
Top-scorer Constable and Christie are both likely to lead the attack again as Harriers look to return to form following the disappointment of losing 2-1 at Blue Square Premier strugglers Altrincham last Tuesday.
Penn added: "I think we have lost one in nine, even if we haven't got the right results in terms of wins, but we are playing quite solidly and hopefully we can keep our form up and get the result."
Weymouth boss Jason Tindall could give another outing to West Ham United loanee Bondz Ngala who impressed on his debut alongside fellow teenage centre-half Scott Doe on Saturday.
Tindall said: "Constable, Christie and Justin Richards are three of the best strikers in the league.
"For a 19-year-old and an 18-year-old to do so well against them is a very big positive."
Weymouth won 2-0 at Harriers in the league in October.
