KIDDERMINSTER Harriers will have to finish the job at Aggborough after a frustrating afternoon at the Wessex Stadium.

The visitors had the better chances to win this dire FA Trophy second round clash but were denied by home keeper Jason Matthews.

Now they will have to beat their Blue Square Premier rivals in the replay at Aggborough tomorrow night.

In truth, Harriers expertly absorbed toothless Weymouth's pressure and looked sharp on the break.

Harriers' manager Mark Yates gave captain Stuart Whitehead his first start in five games, replacing Gavin Hurren in defence.

James Constable also played up front alongside hitman Iyseden Christie.

The hosts, nicknamed the Terras, started brightly and bombarded Harriers with some dangerous set-pieces but the visitors, marshalled by Mark Creighton and Whitehead, coped well with the pressure.

Neither side looked dangerous in a first-half that was broken up by fussy referee Andrew Bennett.

Striker Christie had two chances in the first-half, curling an effort well wide and then seeing a far post header collected bravely by Matthews.

Constable had the best chance of the game on the half-hour mark. Russ Penn won the ball in Harriers' half and drove to the edge of Weymouth's box.

He slipped the ball to Constable, who spun and fired off a low shot that Matthews did well to turn out for a corner.

The hosts rarely threatened but the lively Gavin McCallum saw a shot blocked by Whitehead and Wilfried Domaraud fired over. Harriers were the better side in the second-half, inviting pressure from Weymouth and hitting the home side on the break to great effect.

Christie raced goalwards to latch onto Constable's incisive pass but Matthews rushed out of the box to beat him to it.

The Aggborough side carved out a seven-man move, which allowed Paul Bignot to get down the right wing but his cross missed everyone.

Constable was denied by Matthews once again in the 74th minute when he headed Justin Richards' cross goalwards, but once again the Weymouth keeper made a fine save.

Harriers pushed for the winner, with Penn seeing a shot deflected wide and defender Creighton volleying over the bar late on.
