LIKE most managers, Mark Yates is hoping to strenghten his Kidderminster Harriers squad during this month's transfer window.

But without the financial power of Chelsea and the newly-crowned richest club in the world Queens Park Rangers and the fact that they are being guzumped by Football League clubs, the Aggborough chief is finding it difficult.

Your Worcester News revealed that Chesterfield had beaten Harriers to the signing of Nottingham Forest youngster Brendan Moloney on Thursday.

And with Yates letting fringe players Jon Munday and Jonny Harkness join Worce-ster City on loan, the need for new faces heightened.

"I was looking to bring in one player in particular. We had everything sorted but unfortunately a club from a higher division and closer to the club he's at now came in for him and he moved there," Yates said of the Moloney situation.

"I've made an enquiry about another player and we'll see where that goes."

Harriers' Blue Square Premier clash at Crawley Town has been put back 24 hours as the Reds Devils are playing live on Setenta Sports the Thursday before against Ebbsfleet United.

Harriers match at the Broadfield Stadium on Sunday, February 17, will kick off at 2pm.
