WELLAND Juniors Under 13s continued their fine start to life in the Mercian Festival Junior League with a 3-0 win over Leigh and Bransford Badgers.

The newly-formed team marched back up to third in the Division Two table above rivals Worcester Raiders.

Stand-in keeper Luke Wellham kept a clean sheet against determined opposition.

Hard-working Welland went two goals ahead through Will Chambers before Mikey Catherall sealed the three points.

Meanwhile, Worcester Raiders lost 4-1 at top-of-the-table Bromyard Town.

With both teams not at their best, Town were gifted goals by the lacklustre visitors.

Raiders' captain Aaron Davis hit the post after being sent clear by Tom Haigh but they improved in the second period to score through Jack Dent's solo effort.

UNDER 16s: Top-of-the-table Suffolk Rangers kept up their 100 per cent league record in Division One with a 10-0 beating of Droitwich Spa Boys.

Rangers made a good start with Brad Birch scoring from Martin Newman's pass.

Jake Ford drove the ball in-off the post and Jamie Insall headed home a third from Newman's cross.

Ford blasted in another goal before the interval after Newman's shot rebounded.

Rangers put on an even better second-half display with Ford taking his tally to five.

The Spa keeper saved a penalty but then the ball went in off his head after Birch struck the crossbar.

Joe Corbett and Adam Marsh wrapped up the scoring.

UNDER 14s: In Division Two, third-placed Whittington St Peter's saw off Evesham United Youth 3-2.

After a slow start, Tom Staite put St Peter's ahead with a curling free-kick into the top corner. But then Evesham dominated the rest of the half without finding the net.

St Peter's picked up their game early in the second period with Tom Lloyd and Toby Mullett going close.

However, in a mad five minutes, Evesham equalised and then forced a second goal.

But their character shone through as Staite levelled from Lloyd's corner.

Josh Pearce battled through the Evesham defence to score the winner at the second attempt.

UNDER 10s: Droitwich Spa Wildcats continued their title challenge with a 5-0 win at bottom-of-the-table Kinver Colts.

A brace from Abby Weston helped Wildcats to go level on points with unbeaten leaders Perdiswell and Worcester who have a game in hand.

Weston opened the scoring after eight minutes when she latched onto a Bobbie Dutton through-ball.

A brilliant Lucy Loach turn and strike doubled the lead before Weston made it 3-0 after good work from Chloe Deam.

Abbie Wallis added a fourth just before the break and Casey Homer scored the fifth in the second-half with a solo goal.

Solid defending from Ruth Hadley kept Kinver at bay.
