FORGOTTEN man Aisea Havili is hoping his try-scoring performances in the Guinness A' League will convince Mike Ruddock to restore him to the first team and extend his Sixways stay.
The Tongan wing was banished to the reserve side after returning to Worcester later than planned after the World Cup. The 30-year-old has not featured in director of rugby Ruddock's first team plans yet and his contract expires at the end of this season.
However, the former Llanelli Scarlets man is hopeful his impressive A' League form will earn him a chance to prove himself in the first team.
He said: The A' League is strong and it is tough to get results, but we have been working hard. I am definitely happy to have scored a few tries and my performances are getting better - I just need to keep going.
"Hopefully I will now have a chance to get back into the first team, but if not I will keep working hard.
"My contract finishes at the end of this season and I enjoy being at Worcester - it is a nice place and hopefully I can get back in the first team and earn a new contract.
"There are a lot of good players in my position, but it is up to the coach. We all get on well and we share tips in training.
"The team is getting stronger now - the last few games have been very close and we were unlucky to lose at Newcastle."
