BROMSGROVE Rovers caretaker manager Duane Darby has challenged his team to continue their good run when they host Merthyr Tydfil on Saturday (3pm).
Rovers have been in fine form since Darby was handed the reigns in the wake of Rod Brown's departue from the Victoria Ground in November.
They have recorded three victories and one draw from five British Gas Business Premier Division matches and are looking to pull further away from the relegation zone against the Welshmen.
Merthyr, who won the reverse fixture 2-0 in August, are four places below Rovers in the standings and have only won once in their last six matches.
"The lads are performing well," Darby said. "They are playing decent football so we are looking forward to the game. We are on a roll and we have got to make sure we keep that going.
"The fans have been superb since I have been here. The numbers have started to climb up steadily and hopefully we can keep performing for them.
"I have come in here to steady the ship and that's what's going on. I suppose when results are going the way they are there is no rush to do anything about it (appointing a permanent manager)."
Centre-half Chris McHale returns following a one-match ban but striker Richard Ball (knee) is still injured.
Darby is also hopeful of adding Halesowen Town midfielder Jay Denny to his squad after putting in a seven-day approach.
Rovers' league game with Bashley at the Victoria Ground will now take place on Tuesday, April 8.
The original match on December 8 was postponed because of a waterlogged pitch.
