A DEAF football team from Worcester has won a national tournament.
They defeated Everton 1-0 in the final of the seventh annual Rudolph five-a-side competition in Derbyshire after beating the hosts Derby, Doncaster, Leeds, Fulham and St John's (London).
Worcester City ladies reserve player Aimee Cockle put the side together, having previously competed herself for Birmingham, Walsall and Leeds.
Pershore-based Cockle was joined by Sebastiana Mazzocchio and Kate Eccleston from Worcester but had to recruit four other girls to make up the numbers.
The 24-year-old is hoping to have a squad of seven local girls in place for the next tournament.
