WORCESTER Men's Firsts kept pace with the BodyKraft Midlands Premier Division top four after a 5-3 win in a rearranged match at Nottingham.

The visitors found themselves two goals down despite dominating but Jon Sprague and Chris Adams ensured they were level by half-time.

Worcester continued to boss the second-half with Alex Kotlarzewski and Matt Brace prominent.

Kotlarzewski and Chris Perry put them two goals ahead and although Nottingham replied, Adam Gilbertson popped up to score his first league goal of the season.

The seconds fell 3-2 at Olton in a friendly with Chris Miles and Brett Pittam on target.

Worcester held their own in the first match back after the Christmas break against opposition from a higher division.

Much of the first-half was dominated by the visitors who scored first through Miles from a short corner.

In the second-half, Worcester let their discipline slip, lost concentration for 15 minutes and paid the price by conceding three goals.

Once they regained their composure, the city side took hold of the game to net through Pittam.

Worcester Thirds hammered Olton 6-0 with a fine display in the home friendly.

Worcester dominated early on and Rob Mackichan broke through to slip the ball to Matt Hooper who drove it home.

Soon after, Phil Jones found the goal from the top of the D'.

Good play from Chris Simmonds and John Senior gave the latter space to pass for Josh White to chip the keeper at the far post.

New captain York Senior skilfully swept into the D' and passed to John Senior who pelted the ball into the bottom corner. Dan Newman scored the fifth after a great pass by Hooper gave him time to beat the keeper and hit the ball into the net via a deflection.

The final goal came from a Rob Bonham run and his shot hit the post, falling for York Senior to tap in.

The fourths and fifths teams were mixed up for a keenly contested friendly.

The team with the fifths defence and attack and the fourths midfield won 2-1.

Two first-half goals from Scott Seckham were enough to secure victory.

A second-half consolation came from Andy Hares but it was not enough to deny a deserved victory.

The sixths were on the wrong end of a 4-0 scoreline at Olton Fourths.

Although they had chances, their final ball was poor and they were beaten by a side who converted their opportunities well.

Worcester Sevenths saw off Olton 2-1 in a close contest.

After a slow start and conceding early on, Worcester equalised through Stuart West from a deflected short corner.

The rest of the first-half was end-to-end but with no further goals.

Worcester came out strongly in the second-half and were soon rewarded with a goal from Andy Pritchard.

They then resisted pressure from Olton and narrowly missed out on more goals from breaks.
