STOURPORT Women's Firsts continued their unbeaten run into 2008 with a 5-1 win at higher-ranked Burton.
The Wyre Forest team, who host Redditch on Saturday, impressed against a team who play a division higher, despite a four-week break.
With six regulars missing, Stourport broke away to open the scoring on 20 minutes through Melissa Kennedy from Sarah Cavendish's pass. Fran Moss extended the lead from a short corner on the half-hour mark.
Playing uphill in the second-half, Stourport added two more goals from open play through Cavendish and Kennedy.
Moss then dispatched a penalty flick after Liz Cooke's shot was stopped on the line by a defender's foot.
In the dying moments, Burton scored following a lucky deflection.
Stourport Seconds started the second half of their campaign with a 5-2 defeat at Edgbaston.
Georgia Hingley was on target for the thirds who lost 8-1 at home to Cannock.
The visitors kept possession better and supported each other as Stourport struggled to shake off the cobwebs from a month's break.
Cannock took their opportunities to lead 5-0 at the break but the opening goal was a deflection off a defender's stick.
With Stourport 7-0 behind, they scored when Hingley beat the keeper from Lorna Hawthorn's long corner only for Cannock to add an eighth goal.
The fourths fell 5-0 at home to Edgbaston and were unable to find their feet.
The visitors' keeper was forced into a string of saves and Pat Terry was denied a late consolation strike by another fine stop.
Wednesday training sessions at the Kingsway pitches run from 6.30pm until 8pm for juniors and 8pm until 9.30pm for women.
