MALVERN cyclist Liam Killeen is setting his sights on making the Team GB squad for this year's Olympics in Beijing.
After finsihing second to Roger Hammond at the 2008 British Cyclo-Cross Champio-nships at Sutton Park in Birmingham, Killeen is ready to take that long boat to China this autumn.
Killeen said: "Obviously to come second in the sprint is a bit frustrating, but I was pleased with how the race went.
"I felt strong and it took me a couple of laps to work my way to the front, but once I was there, I felt quite comfortable.
"Sutton Park is probably one of my favourite courses. Roger is a super sprinter and it was always going to be a tough task - there's always next year.
"I only do a handful of cross races each season, but the National Championships were a goal of mine.
"However, there are bigger goals for me this year - especially the Olympics."
