HEREFORD United manager Graham Turner says the FA Cup fourth round draw could have been better for his side.

The Bulls will host Championship club Cardiff City, who have former United midfielder Paul Parry in their ranks, if they can beat Tran-mere Rovers at the second time of asking on Wednesday, January 16.

After earning their place in the hat with a 2-2 draw at Prenton Park on Saturday, Hereford would have been hoping to be handed a draw with a Premiership club.

As it was, Hereford were the last tie to be drawn and the likes of Manchester United and Arsenal had already been allocated.

Turner said: "It was a bit of an anti-climax but there would be a lot of interest in the game.

"There's a lot of interest in Cardiff with old rivalries going way back and connections with Paul Parry. We have not played them for a number of years.

"But from our point of view, we have got to think about Tranmere."

He added: "We have got nothing to fear from anybody, it's one of those cup adventures this club enjoys every now and then.

"The pressure is off the players, the pressure is on getting league points so the players can enjoy the games a bit more and anything can happen."

Elsewhere, Wolverhampton Wanderers have been handed a trip to Watford, while West Bromwich Albion will visit Peterborough United if they can see off Charlton Athletic.

Blue Square South side Havant and Waterlooville could face Liverpool at An-field if they can beat Swansea City in their replay and Rafa Benitez's side overcome Luton Town.

Holders Chelsea visit Wigan, while third round giant-killers Oldham and Huddersfield go head-to-head.

Mansfield boss Billy Dearden knows his struggling second from bottom of the table League Two side will have to be at their very best if they are to get past Premier League Middlesbrough.
