KIDDERMINSTER Harriers manager Mark Yates believes his team's seven-game unbeaten run shows they mean business in the Blue Square Premier.
The Aggborough outfit drew 2-2 at fellow form side York City on Saturday despite leading 2-0 through Michael McGrath and Iyseden Christie.
That result at Kit-Kat Crescent means Harriers have not lost since the 3-1 FA Cup defeat at Dagenham and Redbridge on December 1, including five league games.
Yates takes his team to struggling Altrincham tonight (7.45) looking to continue that record and insists the Cheshire side are in for a tough time.
He said: "We're confident. What we're doing at the moment is letting teams know that we're going to work hard to get whatever points we can.
"If anyone wants to get points off us then they're going to have to work extremely hard."
Yates is boosted by the return of four players from suspension, giving him a full squad to pick from for the journey up the M6.
Strikers James Constable, the top scorer with 12 goals, and Justin Richards and midfielders Russ Penn and Andy Ferrell all missed the match at York through one-match bans after picking up five bookings.
Yates, though, was able to call on the likes of Chester City loanee Dean Bennett, back with Harriers until the end of the season, and veteran defender Jeff Kenna - and was delighted with what he saw.
Yates said: "They threw everything at us. We had four big players out and I'm proud of the boys and the effort they put in.
"We were disappointed in the dressing room that we didn't win but we gave everything.
"It was a great game and that makes it seven unbeaten now, and we're progressing on the right lines.
"Some of the passing and movement was excellent and we scored two really good goals. The boys have got to take a lot of credit."
Harriers will fancy their chances against a fourth-from-bottom Altrincham side who have only won twice at home all season.
Graham Heathcote's side beat Weymouth 3-2 on November 17 and basement boys Droylsden by the same score in September.
Following a 5-1 drubbing against Stevenage Borough at Moss Lane on December 29, a 2-1 New Year's Day success at fellow strugglers Northwich Victoria was a welcome relief for Altrincham but they lost 4-0 at Oxford on Saturday.
The Moss Lane club, though, are only two points from safety as they look to stave off the threat of relegation which they have avoided for the past two seasons.
