GB Women's Sevens team are through to the semi-finals of the Tokyo Olympic tournament after beating the USA convincingly by 21-12.
Worcester Warriors' Alex Matthews started once again as Team GB produced a rugby sevens masterclass in the quarter-finals.
They started well and within about a minute of kick-off Jasmine Joyce raced under the posts to score the first try and then moments later, captain Abbie Brown extended the lead to 14-0 with a close range score.
The Americans were startled and could hardly get a touch of the ball in the first half and even when they did, GB stifled any attacking opportunities and forced them to play from deep.
There was no change to the score at half-time but it didn't take long before Joyce had her second and GB's third, with the conversion from Brown making it 21-0.
The USA were having to work so hard just to get out their own half but they did eventually find a way over the line with three minutes to play.
The States threw everything at it but despite a final play score, it was not enough and Team GB deservedly go through to the semi-finals to play
