KABIR Ali and Steven Davies has been called up to the England Lions squad that will tour India later this month.
The two Worcestershire players will head out to the sub-continent on January 23 and it just reward for impressive displays over the past season at New Road.
However, Worcestershire skipper Vikram Solanki has been omitted from the Lions squad which he captained last season.
The 31-year-old, who played in the rebel Indian Cricket League in November, has been over looked by the selectors for this tour as have other Lions players, Paul Nixon and Darren Maddy, who also played in the breakaway Twenty20 League.
