AGGBOROUGH Stadium will welcome one of the giants of English football next month as a Manchester United XI will play a pre-season friendly with Kidderminster Harriers.
The club confirmed the news on social media this afternoon and will be the final warm-up fixture before the National League season begins the following week.
Russel Penn’s men are already set to welcome EFL opposition to Worcestershire in the shape of Cheltenham Town and Walsall as part of their 2021/22 campaign preparations.
But this game is the perfect way to round off their pre-season programme and the club hope for a big attendance, whichever United team shows up.
"It’s an honour for us to be able to welcome a team from Manchester United to Aggborough and it’s a date we’ll look forward to,” said boss Penn.
"We’ve worked with them over the last year and clearly appreciate how we go about things and conduct ourselves a club, so it is an important relationship for us.
"This is just a week before our season starts so it’ll be great for the lads and, I’m sure, our fans as well.”
Tickets can be purchased over on the club's official website, which can be found here:
