WORCESTER Raiders boss Karl Gormley insists his side want to “make the most of football” ahead of Tuesday night’s trip to Littleton in the West Midlands (Regional) League Premier Division (7.45pm).
Saturday's game with Bilston Town was postponed due to one corner of the Claines Lane pitch being waterlogged and 11th-placed Raiders head into the midweek fixture without a league win in three games.
Boss Gormley is confident the game will be on despite the looming issue of COVID-19.
“We just crack on as usual,” he said.
“At the minute we know very little other than what is available for all to see.
"The league are keeping us updated whenever they can but at the minute games are going ahead and our game with Littleton is on so full speed ahead.
“Littleton are a good side, they beat (leaders) Shifnal last weekend but we just want to play the game and try to get the three points.
“We are following all the guidelines but all we can do is just play it by ear and wait to see what we get told.”
When asked about the impact of Coronavirus the boss said he hoped the league would continue but admitted football might have to take a back seat.
“We don’t want to stop and we would like to see the league finished properly,” Gormley added.
“If we can get all games done then that’s what we would like but obviously we have to see what happens.
“It’s an important year with four teams going up so it would be good for us all if the games are played out and see every team play their seasons out to see who goes up.
“I think we just need to make the most of football at the minute and that’s what the players want to do but sometimes things are more important than football."
