WORCESTER Warriors lock Michael Fatialofa is spending a second night in St Mary’s Hospital, Paddington, as his condition continues to be assessed.
Fatialofa, 27, was stretchered off after being injured in a collision shortly after he came on as a replacement in Saturday’s Gallagher Premiership defeat against Saracens at Allianz Park.
Play was held up for 15 minutes as New Zealander Fatialofa received medical attention before he was carried away with his neck in a brace and taken to hospital.
A Warriors statement tonight said: "We will provide a further update on Michael’s condition when we have one.
"On behalf of Michael we would like to thank all those who have passed on messages of support and concern."
Warriors director of rugby Alan Solomons said after the game: “It is a massive concern and I’m worried about it but I haven’t had a report from the hospital.
"The medics have taken all precautions and done everything possible. We’ve contacted his partner to let her know.”
