- Towle stepped up and coolly stroked the free-kick across the face of goal inside the far post with an effort that seemed to be at a good height for keeper Dan Jezeph.
- City kept going but looked susceptible to the counter attack and that proved their downfall.
- David Kolodynski got inside the left of the box and tangled with Craig Jones with referee Harry Warner pointing to the spot.
- Towle lifted a high penalty down the middle to give his side the lead and produced the same spot-kick eight minutes later when English was judged to have brought down substitute Kameron Campbell while stretching to toe away the ball.
